first I will re-read Paul's letter to the church in Galatia. While I'm at this, I think satire is an effective tool for communicating truth. However, it is what it is because it is used properly and at the right time. Satirical comebacks so to speak, must be wielded as the sword: sparingly and well.
Ok. I re-read Galatians. I knew already this satire 'works'. So, yes, to me, in that sense, it is funny. On the other hand, it is laced with profound sadness. Sad because there truly are folk who misunderstand the harsh words of Paul as empty judgment. That I might perceive his plea as motivated by love pierces me, once upon a time I could have responded like those who 'wrote letters to the editor'. God's mercy is great.

I skimmed. But, yes, I do think it's funny.
