My Sports Illustrated Debut
My letter is on page four.
Sports Illustrated has begun putting back issues online. I wrote a letter to the editor in 1992. You can click the above link to read my work. My friend Todd tells me I'm economical with words. Looks like it existed even when I was fourteen years old.

Gotta admit, I'm a little impressed you were using the word collegian when you were 14.
And I still think you have the makings of a sports writer...a VERY concise sports writer.
I personally thought the letter was a little wordy for you Danny.
I think the 31 year old Danny would have replaced "With the exception of" with "Except for". I'm sure you could have cut it by at least 1/3 if you wrote it today.
